Recognizing cancer-focused, regionally based programs committed to clinical research, training and education of cancer professionals. 

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for programs that are playing a structured, institutional role in advancing the knowledge, training, and capabilities of our region’s cancer community. Entities with innovative programs that have demonstrated impact in bolstering our region’s healthcare professionals’ capacity to confront cancer. We’re especially interested in those programs that have a documented history of collaboration, particularly across institutions in the Arab world. 

Program Eligibility

  • Deeply engaged in the field of cancer and affiliated with an academic institution or accredited hospital in the Arab world.
  • Operational for a minimum of three years, with demonstrated impact (and corresponding data) at the institutional/national/regional level.
  • Clearly published requirements for participant enrollment and certification, with a mentorship plan for trainees and faculty.
  • Multiple programs from the same institution can apply; national or international accreditation is preferred.

The Award

  • Recognition in the King Hussein Award Ceremony in Amman, Jordan 
  • Prize of $30,000
  • Awarded to one program annually
