Promising Researcher Grant
Temidayo Omolaoye is an Assistant Professor of Physiology in the Department of Basic Sciences, College of Medicine, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai Health, Dubai, UAE. She obtained her PhD in Physiology from Stellenbosch University in Tygerberg, South Africa. Her research focuses on the physiology and pathophysiology of reproduction, with particular interest in male infertility. Her core interests include investigating the mechanisms underlying male reproductive dysfunction in diabetes and assessing the impact of environmental pollutants on fertility potential. Currently, she is exploring fertility preservation strategies to secure the reproductive future of young male cancer survivors who may have the desire to father children by leveraging advanced 3D bioprinting to engineer functional testicular microenvironments capable of supporting in vitro spermatogenesis from immature germ cells. Dr. Omolaoye is a recipient of several research grant awards, has published more than 35 peer-reviewed articles, and has presented more than 20 papers at national and international scientific conferences. She also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for more than 25 SCOPUS-indexed journals.
